iOS 6.1 Beta 3 is downloadable for iPhone, iPad, and iPod
Apple just released iOS 6.1 Beta 3 for all registered iOS developers. This latest update is the third beta version of iOS 6.1, coming just a few weeks after Apple pushed out iOS 6.1 beta 2 to registered devs. As noted by 9to5Mac, the update is available for download over the air using the Software Update feature in the General portion of an iOS device's Settings app. The iDevices that are compatible with iOS 6.1 beta 3 include the iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the fourth and fifth generation iPod touch models.
As is usually the case with these iOS betas, the iOS 6.1 beta 3 update is only available to users that've registered with Apple on its developer website. There's no word yet on when iOS 6.1 will be pushed out to the public or what tweaks will be included in the final version, but our pals at Today's iPhone dug into iOS 6.1 beta 2 and found that one of the changes is a new informational screen for users that are starting up Passbook for the first time. If you're a registered iOS developer, grab your iOS device(s) and get to updating to see what Apple has packed into the latest iOS 6.1 beta!
