Six things makes Surface is better than iPad

If you want to choose between two iPad and Surface Tablet PC, I believe many people will choose the iPad, the previous market statistics also illustrate this point. However, in the eyes of start-up companies Estately founder Galen Ward, Surface RT is a good choice, and in some ways Apple should also learn to Microsoft, and these advantages add to the next generation iPad or even the entire iOS operating system.

1. Multiple user accounts

Windows Surface lets you setup multiple user accounts. It's actually a feature I never use on a real computer, but it's convenient to have all your settings there when you pick up a tablet. Multiple accounts means no logging on and off of apps like Gmail and Twitter for old foggies like me who live with their significant others. Tap on your account and everything is as you left it.

2. Visual Feedback on Touch

It's a subtle-but-great touch. Each time you touch the surface, a very light-grey, transparent circular dot briefly appears on the screen and then quickly shrinks into nothing. When you swipe, a faint grey trails your finger and then almost instantly disappears. Most Surface users probably don't even notice this detail, but it is very nice. It helps you understand where your touches are registering and makes every touch feel highly responsive — more responsive than iPad.

3. Two apps at a time

The Surface lets you have one app take up three-quarters of the screen
Have you ever tried to paste your favorite three bits of an article into an email with an iPad? Use cases like that make me bring a laptop on trips.
My most common use case is opening a narrow email client and copying and pasting text from a website or copying and pasting multiple URLs. Or: adding stuff to my calendar when I'm in an email app (this is a huge pain on the iPad). Or: taking notes in Evernote with a web browser open.

4. Flash

Flash is dead. Long lived flash!
I hate flash as much as the next guy, but if you use the web for work, it's a necessary evil. Say you're the CEO of a real estate startup and you want to check in on your traffic yesterday in Google Analytics. Then Flash is like a long lost friend.

5. Left and Right Arrow Keys

If you're a write fast, go-back-and-edit writer like me, editing text with the little iOS magnifying glass is something that unknowingly taxes you every time you do it.
On the Surface, I do what I do to write quickly and efficiently on my laptop: get close enough with the mouse and then use the onscreen arrow keys to get positioned just right. Or: Control + Arrow word by word to the place I want to edit.

6. Music Playback

Someone deserves a promotion for the work they did on Windows 8′s playback user interface.
You can play music or podcasts in the background on the Surface — like you'd expect. Here's what the Surface does delightfully right: When you touch either of the volume buttons on the Surface, it shows you the volume level in the upper left hand corner of the screen along with rewind, pause and fast forward buttons.
This is discernability done right. The first time you want music or a podcast playing in a background app to pause on the Surface, you turn down the volume and from there find out you can pause it.

Apple suffered a "bottleneck " : Development prospects are questioned or face the elite brain drain

U.S. IT website CNET published today the Department Chris Matyszczyk. The article said that the suspect due to market Apple's difficult to create a great opportunity that could lead to massive loss of talent.
How to retain talent, and they believe that Apple's innovation potential, the company faces the greatest test.

The world's most famous, most successful companies are faced with the crisis. There have been rumors of some quite entertaining.
First Wall Street has advocated the Apple stock better Google worthless, adolescent users have abandoned Apple to Microsoft surface.

In the environment of such troubles, I always remember Mitt Romney (Mitt Romney, 2012 U.S. presidential election candidates) the sentence: "The company is also a person."

Of course, about Apple's future prospects, as well as some of the more cautious explorer.
Daring Fireball's John of Krupp (John Cruber) and his guests, after a lengthy discussion. The iPhone and Mac developer Guy British Gerry (Guy English) believe that Apple faces a real long-term problem is: talent.

Krupp concern, the best engineers may think Apple can no longer give them the satisfaction.
"The problem is not that Apple is losing talent, but that they will lead to loss of talent," he said.
Some people even think that Apple may experience an "earthquake".

This is critical, because Apple has always been surrounded by the color of the layer of personal worship.
The principal object of worship of the people is Steve Jobs (Steve Jobs). Jones Ivey (Jony I've), Scott Foster (Scott Forstall) irregularly distributed some light.

The undeniable fact is: a lot of talented engineers, though they have a great idea, but in public fame was not broad enough.
The most typical example is Tony Fidel (Tony Fadell). After he left Apple created the nest, is a revolutionary thermostat.

British Gerry worry, once you have made the first generation iPhone this thing will feel that this is your life's work.
No matter what future development - at least in a market Apple to get involved - will feel much better than this.

Some people consider that the rumors of iWatch watch are a smart person "image projects".
Perhaps this stems from an amateur pastime of some Apple engineers, they hope to put into practice the idea.

However, Apple is very serious attitude towards entertainment, just as it treats the design attitude.
Hard to imagine Apple's sudden change of attitude, to meet the flashy design, even wearable, gaudy design can make money.

Ultimately, all companies are faced with the problem of how to retain talent.
Some employees do not want to be famous, famous only hope that their works.
Their idea is so that their products can become everyone to talk about, even coveted object.

Not all engineers want exposure in the spotlight under.
In a sense, the spotlight and many engineers are irrelevant.

Like many companies, Apple's biggest problem is certainly creating an atmosphere for all workers to believe there is no more suitable for them to play a creative place than here.

A lot of people are worried about the ability to create a new market for Apple products through stunning atrophy.
They are also difficult to abandon the idea of "Tim Cook (Tim Cook), although good efficiency but of vision".
However, sometimes, efficient managers the opportunity for the best talent to create continuing achievements, often extremely wise.

Apple faces the biggest test - may be the biggest problem.
The key is not just to make a great product, but to make people believe that it is still possible to create a great product.

Thus, it appears a small problem: if there are a make people's lives more convenient, more happy electronic products?
If there is, what is it?

Goodbye RIM, and welcome BlackBerry

During the BlackBerry 10 launch event today, CEO Thorsten Heins announced plans to change the company's name from Research In Motion to BlackBerry. The company has also changed its tagline to "One brand. One promise." The company's stock ticker will change to BBRY to reflect the new name.
"We have reinvented the company, and we want to represent this in our brand….We have transformed ourselves inside and out, and we have defined a revision, a dedication to the boundless opportunities in mobile computing," Heins said. "Our customers use BlackBerry. Our employees work for BlackBerry, and our shareholders are owners of BlackBerry. From today on, we are BlackBerry everywhere in the world," he continued.
As expected, BlackBerry also revealed two new BlackBerry 10 smartphones at the launch event, the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10. All four of the major wireless carriers in the United States have committed to stocking BlackBerry 10 devices when they launch. Both of the new smartphones will feature 4G LTE capabilities.
The Z10 will feature a full touchscreen with a 4.2-inch high definition display (1280x768), 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP camera, and an 1,800 mAh battery.  While the Z10 is ready to launch in the UK tomorrow and in Canada later this week, BlackBerry loyalists in the United States will have to wait until March for it to be released. Verizon Wireless plans to offer the handset for $199.99 after discounts and with a contract. We expect to see similar pricing from other carriers in the future. The Z10 will come in black and white models. The white version is exclusive to Verizon Wireless.
The BlackBerry Q10 is reminiscent of previous BlackBerry handsets with its 3.1-inch Super AMOLED square display (720x720) and a full QWERTY keyboard. This smartphone features a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM.
Of course, some of the hype surrounding the new devices is also due to the new OS. BlackBerry 10 is based on QNX. One of the key features of the new platform is the BlackBerry Hub message center which consolidates email, Twitter, Facebook messages, and other forms of communication in a single spot. Given that RIM built a reputation around fast and efficient messaging, it makes sense the company should continue to focus some of its efforts on delivering a modern messaging system that's designed to be quick and easy to use. BlackBerry's core messaging platform now supports video chat and screen sharing.
To satisfy corporate users, BlackBerry Balance divides the phone into work and personal sides. Companies can set policies and maintain security on the work side of the device without interfering with an employee's personal side. A virtual firewall exists between the two sides that will prevent users from copying confidential corporate data from the work to the personal side.
Today's launch event is certainly a big deal for BlackBerry as it works hard to try to regain market share in an increasingly competitive mobile marketplace.  Certainly there are BlackBerry loyalists out there, but BlackBerry has also lost a lot of users to Android and iOS over the past few years. Are the new devices and platform enough to attract users to come back? Or will the new platform simply satisfy loyal fans who want something fresh and new? Time will tell, still want to know more about Blackberry News, Apple Rumors or anything about Mac stuffs, please follow my blog on Google +,

Depart from Apple can not be the best solution to help Apple make a better map service

Since Apple released a new version of iOS 6 since their map application service has been criticized by all Apple fans. Wrong display and distorted 3d effect does not makes Apple map so mature. Finally, we got big news there are significant changes on Apple executives today. Most people don't know who Scott Forstall is. But to those who do, he's something of a demigod. If the future of mobile is software, and Apple is the company in pole position, then Forstall, Senior VP of iOS, is arguably the guy driving and defining the future. And as of today, he's officially out at Apple.

But don't be so upste, this is actually probably going to be a very good thing for all of us. Here are my reasons:
We all know that after Steve's death, Forstall was once known to be consolidating power among the ranks at Apple. This kind of thing never bodes well -- for anyone. Blatant power grabs lead to infighting and dysfunction as senior management all of a sudden have to start watching their backs instead of collaborating on product and direction. It's simply never healthy, and definitely never sustainable. Something has to give, and it looks like we know what.
Although iOS has proven to be an incredibly successful platform that started with a huge lead in the modern smartphone era, it's been criticized as evolving far too slowly in the face of the competition (namely: Android). This became apparent around the launch of iOS 5, which added far too few marquee features; I'd say this felt especially acute in iOS 6, which overall felt fairly incremental by comparison to Google's advances.
Relevant or not, Forstall's leaving: he was supposedly the guy who convinced Steve to let some iPhone 4 units run around in the wild during late testing. And we all know what happened there. Scott was the man in charge of Siri and also in charge of the new Maps product, one of Apple's most visible (if not monumental) failures of a flagship product in quite some time. SOMEONE's head was going to roll, it was just a matter of whose.

Scott's responsibilities have been divvied up among Apple senior management. My thoughts on each:

Great news : Jony Ive will be "providing leadership and direction for Human Interface" across Apple. This is the best news I've heard at Apple in recent years. It's time for Cupertino to ditch the tacky skeuomorphism and get the UI to the same level of sophistication as the hardware.

Good news : Craig Federighi, who currently runs OS X, will take over iOS. He's done a great job of getting OS X on a yearly release schedule with great, mobile-inspired features. I think Apple will probably be fine seeing stuff get built and released.

Interesting news : Bob Mansfield, former lead of hardware engineering, will lead a new group called Technologies, which should organize everything mobile under one roof (including semiconductors). This is a fascinating move that underscores Apple's ongoing focus on phones and tablets.

We'll-see news : Siri and Maps go to Eddy Cue. Eddy already oversees iTunes, the App Store, iBookstore, iCloud, etc., so this makes sense. He's gone from being the content guy at Apple to taking on its massive and numerous cloud services -- but Siri and Maps strike me as being a different breed of cloud product, so it's a little unclear to me right now how he'll handle the absolutely IMMENSE technical challenge they present. I'd put odds that he'll do well, though.

How to transform images into a motion picture on Mac

Find something interesting here ,learn how to make a motion picture ourselves. Here is the post i found from other guys . When reviewing photos using the LCD on the back of my camera, it's fun to keep the navigation button held down and let the camera quickly zip through all the images. Especially since I frequently shoot in burst mode—holding the shutter button to shoot several shots in succession—the effect is like watching a stop-motion animation movie. So on my daughter's birthday, I thought, why not do that on the Mac? Instead of pulling out just the handful of really good photos, I'd combine them all to make a movie that resembled the experience of scanning all those shots on the camera. Here's how to do it. 1. Import the photos into iPhoto, where they appear grouped into a new Event. 2. In iMovie, create a new project. 3. Choose File -> Project Properties (or press Command-J). 4. Set the Initial Photo Placement setting to Fit in Frame. This ensures that you see each image in its entirety, regardless of whether the photos are a mix of landscape and portait orientations. Or, you can choose Crop to remove any black borders from the images, but that setting could lead to odd framing, especially for portait images. (You can change these settings later if you want.)
You might be tempted to change the Photo Duration setting here, too, but don't bother. The shortest length is one second, which is too long for the effect I'm going for. We'll adjust the timing shortly.
5. Open the Photos browser and click the Events item under iPhoto.
6. Drag the Event you created to the Project browser to add the photos to your movie. Depending on how many photos there are, this import step could take some time, so be patient.
7. Double-click one image in the project (or select one image and click the Inspector button in the toolbar, or just press the I key) to open the Clip Inspector.
8. Set the duration as 0.1s, and select the Applies to all stills checkbox to adjust the timing of every frame.
9. If you want to change whether the photos are cropped or set to fit within the frame, select all frames (click one and then choose Edit -> Select All, or press Command-A) and then click the Crop button on the toolbar. You can then click the Fit or Crop button that appears in the Viewer.
Or, feel free to adjust any of the frames manually. When I set my project to Crop, many of the portrait photos ended up showing just sky. So, I moved the visible area in those frames to include the action. If any photos arrived with the wrong orientation, click the Rotate buttons (the arrows at the top of the Viewer in Crop mode) to turn the entire image in 90-degree increments.
When you play the movie, it's just like what you experience when shuttling through the shots on your camera. Only in this case, you can apply all of the other features iMovie offers. Drag songs from the Music and Sound Effects browser or titles from the Title browser into the project to add music or text. Adjust timing for specific shots by changing the Duration setting in the Clip inspector (and making sure to deselect the Applies to all stills button).
And, of course, you can then share the movie with whoever you want by choosing an option from the Share menu, like Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, iTunes, or exporting the file.
